As a specialist supplier of steel plate profiles and structural steel supplying markets in construction, yellow goods, offshore, energy, infrastructure and renewables, we saw an increased demand for larger and longer profiles requiring drilled and countersunk holes.
As a result we looked for an extensive machine that would cover all these capabilities to enable us to be a leader in supplying this market.
We looked for a solution to be able to help us to produce long parts and also drill and countersink parts in a one step process, rather than multiple processes, which take time.
We needed the ability to cut much longer profiles, and with the 24m bed on the TEKNOS machine this allows for much longer strip cutting and also does the drilling, plasma cutting, oxy cutting, countersinking and threading.
With the TEKNOS we can now produce 4m wide parts which we just couldn't do before, with the addition of plasma cutting and gas cutting if we need to.
It's very easy to use. People who have no experience in this field of work have been trained and picked it up very quickly.
