As part of our ongoing commitment to developing new talent and providing a clear career path for young people entering the steel industry, the Murray Steel Products team is delighted to welcome Anthony Teasdale from Middlesbrough TTE’s new Engineering Scholarship programme.
Eighteen-year-old Anthony, a talented student from South Bank, Middlesbrough, is one of the top performers in his class. He will spend one day a week at our Centre of Excellence until the summer term concludes, after which he will transition into a full-time apprenticeship with us.
Throughout his time at Murray Steel, Anthony will receive hands-on training, shadowing various processes across machining, profiling, and office-based functions. He will also be mentored by our dedicated team of professionals.
Football and car enthusiast Anthony shared his excitement about his new role: “Murray Steel is an innovative, safe, and dynamic workplace that offers new opportunities every day. I am eager to expand my knowledge and experience within the engineering sector, which will help me reach my ultimate goal of becoming a skilled, efficient, and valuable engineering operative.”
Linsay Thomson, Murray Steel’s Operations Manager, added: “We are thrilled to have Anthony join us as part of the inaugural scholarship programme. Even in just a few short weeks, he has already proven to be a valuable addition to our team. We look forward to supporting his growth and helping him reach his full potential.”
As we celebrate National Careers Week, we are proud to play a part in guiding the next generation of engineering talent. We firmly believe that investing in young people like Anthony is essential for the future of the steel industry and for helping them build long-lasting, fulfilling careers.
Please join us in welcoming Anthony to the team.
We also encourage anyone interested in joining our apprenticeship programme to get in touch. We are always looking for passionate individuals to join our team and begin their career with us.
