Continued investment to further enhance steel supply offer
Alongside the introduction last year of new, state-of-the-art steel processing equipment, we have continued our programme of investment in 2023 to further strengthen our offer to clients.
Transport
We have invested in our transport fleet in order to allow us to offer just-in-time deliveries throughout the UK. This has included:
- 3 x 2023 SDC trailers
- 1 x extender which can carry in excess of 20m in length
- 2 x 45ft flatbed trailers enabling us to carry more than 29t per load.

Site enhancements
Our Sheffield site is where we house significant stocks of steel plate including S275JR, S355J2, Wear Plate, EN8 and Weathering Steel, and it is imperative that these materials are stored and handled safely.
This has led to our investment in new concrete roadways and trailer parks, covering an area of approx. 30,000sq ft, and resulted in enhanced stockholding and handling facilities.
