On Saturday 6th July, four team members from our Middlesbrough Centre of Excellence - Danny Gargett, Luke England, Terry Elcoate and Andy Squires, walked an impressive 12 miles from Roseberry Topping to Saltburn to raise funds for a cause close to their hearts: The Russ Devereux Headlight Project.

Murray Steels raise money for The Headlight Project

Founded in memory of Russ Devereux, the Headlight Project aims to reduce the number of deaths by suicide in the Tees Valley area through therapy of those bereaved by suicide and preventative education and training.

The team raised an impressive £2,045 and finished just in time for a few refreshments and the Euro 2024 football quarter finals.

Murray Steel Products have raised £3665 for the Headlight Project

In the past year two other Murray Steel Products staff have also raised money for this cause. James McGhee, our Project Manager, laced up his running shoes and participated in the Great North Run. His determination led to raising an impressive £590. Then in October, our Operations Manager, Linsay Thomson, walked an amazing 100 miles, raising £1,030 along the way.

Their combined efforts have resulted in an impressive £3,665 raised for The Headlight Project.
