As one of the UK and Ireland’s largest suppliers of steel plate, profiles and structural steel, we are highly aware of the critical significance of environmental responsibility and transparency throughout our European and worldwide supply chain.
As a consequence we have proactively developed a carbon monitoring and reporting system to satisfy the expectations of our valued European partners, despite the fact that we are not currently required to report under the European Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM) regulations.
Head of Compliance for Murray Steel, Mike Pearce, commented:
